1Samuel 18:3 Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.
4 And Jonathan took off the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, even to his sword and his bow and his belt.

Jonathan and David made a covenant, and People from the East (the Orient, the Bible Lands) have always been and still are a covenant minded people, it is very serious business to them. They do not enter into a covenant before they understand the intentions of the other person.

Jonathan gave David 1)his robe {covering} 2)his sword 3)his armor 4)his bow 5)his belt, the giving of these items, and David's receiving of them sealed their covenant.

We have entered into a covenant of grace, and God gave us HIS FULL armor in Ephesians...

Ephesians 6:10 ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--

when we accept Jesus as Savior we enter into the covenant of grace, His blood covers us (that is our covering).. and HE gives us HIS full armor...

It is up to us how we wear the armor, with faith and confidence or with fear and intimidation...,

David didn't forget his covenant... even after Jonathan's death, read 2 Samuel chapter 9. Jonathan had a son who had been crippled in an accident named Mephibosheth, and David searched until he found him, and then he fulfilled the covenant he made with Jonothan's son... God is always searching for someone to fulfill the covenant he makes with us, even when we are dead, He searches for our children and for our children's children.

another example of a covenant and the act of agreeing is...

Genesis 24:2 So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, "Please, put your hand under my thigh,
3 "and I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell;
4 "but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac."
5 And the servant said to him, "Perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land. Must I take your son back to the land from which you came?"
6 But Abraham said to him, "Beware that you do not take my son back there.
7 "The LORD God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, 'To your descendants I give this land,' He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.
8 "And if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be released from this oath; only do not take my son back there."
9 So the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter.

(the putting the hand under the thy was a sign of agreement on this covenant, or contract, this is a very serious thing to do)

he did as he was asked...

Genesis 24:10 ¶ Then the servant took ten of his master's camels and departed, for all his master's goods were in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.
11 And he made his camels kneel down outside the city by a well of water at evening time, the time when women go out to draw water.
12 Then he said, "O LORD God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.
13 "Behold, here I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.
14 "Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, 'Please let down your pitcher that I may drink,' and she says, 'Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink' -let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master."
15 And it happened, before he had finished speaking, that behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, came out with her pitcher on her shoulder.

In the East, when a host shares a meal with another, they are entering into a covenant, therefore, they do not have a meal (or "break bread together" as it is called in the East) until they know the intentions of their guest. and example,...

Genesis 24:42 "And this day I came to the well and said, 'O LORD God of my master Abraham, if You will now prosper the way in which I go,
43 'behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass that when the virgin comes out to draw water, and I say to her, "Please give me a little water from your pitcher to drink,"
44 'and she says to me, "Drink, and I will draw for your camels also," -let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master's son.'
45 "But before I had finished speaking in my heart, there was Rebekah, coming out with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down to the well and drew water. And I said to her, 'Please let me drink.'
46 "And she made haste and let her pitcher down from her shoulder, and said, 'Drink, and I will give your camels a drink also.' So I drank, and she gave the camels a drink also.
47 "Then I asked her, and said, 'Whose daughter are you?' And she said, 'The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bore to him.' So I put the nose ring on her nose and the bracelets on her wrists.
48 "And I bowed my head and worshiped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the way of truth to take the daughter of my master's brother for his son.
49 "Now if you will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me. And if not, tell me, that I may turn to the right hand or to the left."
50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, "The thing comes from the LORD; we cannot speak to you either bad or good.
51 "Here is Rebekah before you; take her and go, and let her be your master's son's wife, as the LORD has spoken."
52 And it came to pass, when Abraham's servant heard their words, that he worshiped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.
53 Then the servant brought out jewelry of silver, jewelry of gold, and clothing, and gave them to Rebekah. He also gave precious things to her brother and to her mother.
54 ¶ And he and the men who were with him ate and drank and stayed all night. Then they arose in the morning, and he said, "Send me away to my master."

notice, they had made their agreement and each knew the others intentions before they broke bread together, there is purpose in this, because the breaking of bread sealed the covenant, they are a covenant minded people.

Here in the West, we eat together, it just means we are all hungry.. we would go in, relax, eat, get settled, and THEN talk about the agreement we came to make, but not in the East, they have a very PARTICULAR way of doing things because of their covenant mindedness.

This is a place of rest, and healing, a place for those who are looking for peace, love, strength, and answers to everyday frustrations, and I can say that because.... it is a place of fellowship for followers of Jesus to come here and gain strength from one another... to encourage one another, and love one another,	but even more importantly, because this fellowship was created for God's people, therfore, it is the PERFECT place for those who don't know Jesus yet...and those who do, but have stumbled and need a helping hand to get up, and even to stay up... that is what we do, because... we are... THE HANDS OF GOD

EVER FEEL LIKE YOU ARE CONSTANTLY ON THE RUN, BUT NEVER GETTING ANYWHERE? THAT IS A TRICK OF SATAN, IF HE CAN KEEP US BUSY DOING THINGS THAT GOD NEVER ASK US, OR TOLD US TO DO, THEN WE STAY OVERLY BUSY, BUT NEVER ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING. IF YOU FEEL THAT WAY THEN IT IS TIME TO STOP, AND ASK GOD WHAT HE WANTS YOU TO DO, LISTEN FOR HIS ANSWER (MOST OF THE TIME WE DONT STOP LONG ENOUGH TO HEAR HIS ANSWER). THEN WE NEED TO MAKE THOSE THINGS GOD WANTS US TO DO OUR PRIORITY. THEN, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE DONT GET SOOOO BUSY WE CANT READ THE WORD, OR PRAY, OR LISTEN TO GOD, & EVEN REST. Jesus made sure He MADE time to rest, that is wisdom, & we should follow HIS example, in all things.

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." (note: "THE YOKE IS ON YOU"... we are all yoked to something, either to Jesus, or to the world. In Matthew 11:30 Jesus tells us that His yoke is easy, & His burden is light, however, the bondage of the worlds yoke is not so; ask any addict who is addicted to anything of this world; alcohol, drugs, gambling, prescription drugs, food, sex, no matter the addiction, if it ain't Jesus, it is heavy, and hurtful & steals life from you. Jesus gives abundant life, the world drains life from you; the choice should be a "no brainer"... GOT JESUS? if not, & you want to get Jesus call me at 870-223-1328, or call your Pastor, or go to Church, whatever works for you, but GET JESUS before it's too late.

Drinking from the wrong cup

Have you ever just felt like all of a sudden you woke up from a long sleep

and feel like you have been drinking from the wrong cup... and it don't look

so good anymore... or feel so good anymore...

I did... oh... about 19 years ago... I was drinking from bottles and cans... (whiskey and beer)... but that is not all... I am not talking about drinking in the natural... I am talking about what I was drinking spiritually... I was spiritually drinking from the sewer... it stunk... and I stunk...

Remember the song "Looking For Love in all the Wrong Places"... well THAT song

had to have been written about me... and buddy I was not finding love anywhere...

oh sure, I found satans counterfit love, but it wasn't satisfying...

(can I just be blunt here... young people... old people... all people... listen up... news flash... SEX AIN'T LOVE... there I said it, and the world didn't end... whew... wow... that felt pretty good getting that out in the open, didn't it?)

Then one day I was cleaning my house and drinking a beer... my husband (who I am still married to by the way) was on the porch talking to his Mom, they didn't know I could hear them...

He said "Mom, I think I finally got me a woman that loves me" and she answered (in that long, slow southern drawL)

"yeah son, I believe ya did, and she'll follow you anywhere you want to lead her, even straight to hell, if that's what ya want" I didn't hear anymore... I set my beer

down and I said "No, Lord, I ain't gonna follow anybody to hell, no one is worth that" (you see, I knew she was telling the truth... that is exactly what I was doing...listen close now... this is important... ANYONE CAN GRAB HOLD OF ANYBODY'S COAT TAIL AND TAG ALONG TO HELL... BUT YOU CANNOT TAG ALONG TO HEAVEN... YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN WAY TO HEAVEN....if you are a tag alonger... LET GO FOR YOUR OWN SAKE... and make your own way to Heaven)... well when I set that beer down I repented before God, and asked Him to forgive me and come into my heart and be the Lord of my life... I told Him... "I got a lot wrong with me... I don't know much, and ain't got much to offer you Lord... I need a LOT of help... but here I am Lord, I am yours, I know it ain't much but it's all I got to offer ya Lord" I literally said that to God... and you know what He said to me....

"It's about time, daughter! What you are giving me is all I ever wanted... YOU"... and you know what... ... I was on cloud nine... it was the best choise I have ever made... I have never, nor will I ever regret it!!

you see I was drinking from the polluted water that the world offers (not only our physical water is polluted... but the spiritual waters the world offers is polluted too... But I got me a deep drink of that LIVING WATER...

Joh 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

You see I began drinking that living water that only my good shepherd can provide...

And I invite you... come... drink... deeply ... of that living water...

you know you have sinned, we all have... just ask Jesus to forgive you... He will... ask Him to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life... and let HIm in... all He wants is YOU... no more... no less... just you... talk to Him like He is your brother... your Father.... cause He is... God the Father and God the son are one...

and He will take you in His arms and love you like a good Father loves His child...

How should we greet our enemies?

HOW SHOULD WE GREET OUR ENEMIES?

Matt 5:43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
45 "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
47 "And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
48 "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

notice that in not even one of these scriptures does He say to AGREE with them. He says to love them, in other words, pray for them, for their understanding... and help them if they need help (their donkey is sick... they need food or drink... help them if you can) and so on and so forth... HE DOES NOT SAY TO HANG OUT WITH THEM... BE BEST BUDS (American slang for friends)... or anything like that... He does not even say TRUST them... not at all... a BIG difference in loving and trusting... you can love without trust, and you can even trust without love... He says in verse 45 that God is even good at times to those who are evil... ("makes the sun rise on" them... in other words they have good air to breath, food to eat, shelter, and clothes just like we do)... and "rains on the just and the unjust"... bad things also happen to good people... and God is in control of ALL of that. BUT He is NOT telling us to go shopping with, eat supper with, go bowling with, or in any way hang out with these evil people, indicating that we agree with their evil ways... just love them and greet them (say "hello" to them) with a smile, showing the love of God. For one thing... God is a sovereign God... if He wants to save their soul (and He does, it's not His will that ANY should perish)... then who are we to shun them and in the process turn them away from God... what good would that do?? Also there is another scripture that I believe agrees well these here in 2 John...

RO 12:20 Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Proverbs 25:21 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; 22 For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the Lord will reward you.

Here He is NOT telling us to become best friends with them... but to do good to them... in "heaping coals of fire on his head"... we are causing the convicting power of the Holy Ghost to have access to convict them... thus could very well be instrumental in bringing about their salvation... then we will no longer be enemies.

example: Lynn Davenport and I have worked together in online ministry for over 10 years now... and in the old "Hands of God" community we had a man to come in who called himself "Rudy"... he confessed to me at one point that he called himself that because he intended to come in and be rude to us "Christians"... (I put that in quotations because that was attitude at the time)... he wanted to show us how stupid and rediculous we were... he got pretty rude at times... some people wanted to get rude back... I wouldn't allow that, I told them that he just didn't understand and let us show him the love of God and help him to understand... as long as there was no name calling or cursing or vulgarity or anything... I wouldn't let him do that, but I explained that to him in a loving and kind and gentle way (if had persisted and refuse to listen I would have had to ban him... but he stopped doing that)... but he would really do all he could to prove us wrong and such as that... but we were very patient and kind to him....
one night he called me into a chat... and he asked me "what is this 'salvation' thing?" I explained it to him... he asked "how do you go about getting it?" I explained that to him... he was quiet for several minutes... I didn't know what to expect... and then the next thing he said was "I did it!" I said "did what?" he said "I just got saved, and now I know what ya'll have been talking about, I know it real"...
Then he told me all about why he came into the community and how he had a really hard time understanding why we didn't treat him as bad as he treated us, it confused him, it worried him, he couldn't get it out of his mine (that was the coals of fire on his head)... Today the man is a preacher, preaching God's uncompromised word!
If we had just turned our backs on him and shunned him, what good would we have done?... if we had just agreed with him and let him think he was right, would good would we have done?... thus the scripture above in action.

A VICTORIOUS PEOPLE

Esther 9:24 because Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to annihilate them, and had cast Pur (that is, the lot), to consume them and destroy them;
25 but when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letter that this wicked plot which Haman had devised against the Jews should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

The old Testament is full of stories that foretell the story of Jesus in one way or another... Haman was the enemy of the jews...
who are we? You may say "Gentiles, if we are not Jewish"... but I disagree... I may not by Jewish of natural blood, but I am
Jewish where it REALLY counts... by the spiritual blood. I am an ADOPTED Jew, adopted by my Father God into His Jewish family.

Who is our enemy today... again one could say that we have a lot of enemies... but there is one who directs all of the other
enemies of Gods people, just as he did Haman at that time... yes, you got it... satan!

Who is our savior who found favor with our Father God, just as Esther found favor with the King and saved the Jews?
Of coarse... Jesus!

we are going to talk about Esther and how her story compares to that of Jesus.

THE CAST

Mordecai..... ......the people of God

we know the Queen Vishta defied the King when she refused to come to him when summonsed, the King decided
to replace the Queen, so the virgins were to be brought to him to choose from. Mordecai, Esthers cousin had taken
her in as a young girl and raised her, they were of Jewish decent. Esther went through a year of preparation before
being brought before the King, (just as Jesus spent a time of preparation, 33 years, before his appointed time to go before the Father and find favor as the ultimate sacrifice)... Esther's preparation time was meticulous and had to be done just so so. When brought before the King Estherfound favor with the King and he made her the new Queen. Which brings us up to...

Esther 3:8 Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, "There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people's, and they do not keep the king's laws. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain.
9 "If it pleases the king, let a decree be written that they be destroyed, and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver into the hands of those who do the work, to bring it into the king's treasuries."
10 So the king took his signet ring from his hand and gave it to Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews.
11 And the king said to Haman, "The money and the people are given to you, to do with them as seems good to you."
12 Then the king's scribes were called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and a decree was written according to all that Haman commanded-to the king's satraps, to the governors who were over each province, to the officials of all people, to every province according to its script, and to every people in their language. In the name of King Ahasuerus it was written, and sealed with the king's signet ring.
13 And the letters were sent by couriers into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate all the Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their possessions.
14 A copy of the document was to be issued as law in every province, being published for all people, that they should be ready for that day.
15 The couriers went out, hastened by the king's command; and the decree was proclaimed in Shushan the citadel. So the king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Shushan was perplexed.

Haman was plotting to carry out a plan to destroy God's people, the Jews... QUESTION... do you suppose that
the timing of a Jewish Queen being installed to the throne at this PARTICULAR time was coinsidence? I agree...
it was no coinsidence... God KNEW what He was doing... even then... God is so awesome!!

Through out history satan has plotted and planned to stop God's plan, to destroy God's people, the blood born and
adopted Jews. From the time when Moses was a baby and all the male children under 2 were killed, save Moses, whose
mother, following God's inspiration, saved Moses, saving the bloodline of Jesus as prophesied, to the time when Jesus was born and King Herod had all the male children under 2 killed, of coarse, once again, Jesus survived. The enemy, satan, has
from the beginning had plan after plan to stop the birth of Jesus, and failing that, he tried to kill him as a babe, failing that... he had one more chance... the cross and we all know how that went for satan!

Esther 4:10 Then Esther spoke to Hathach, and gave him a command for Mordecai:
11 "All the king's servants and the people of the king's provinces know that any man or woman who goes into the inner court to the king, who has not been called, he has but one law: put all to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter, that he may live. Yet I myself have not been called to go in to the king these thirty days."
12 So they told Mordecai Esther's words.
13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: "Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews.
14 "For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai:
16 "Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!"
17 So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.

Esther 5:1 Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, across from the king's house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house.
2 So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.

Esther waited until the appointed time, then went willing before the King and found favor with the King.

Jesus also at His appointed time willingly went before the Father and found favor with the Father as the ultimate
sacrifice for all sins.

All the time of Esther's preparation , Mordicai waited patiently,
just as God's people waited patiently for the Messiah, the ultimate sacrifice.

NOW HAMAN COMES ARROGANTLY ONTO THE SCENE

Esther 5:1 Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, across from the king's house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house.
2 So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.
3 And the king said to her, "What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you-up to half the kingdom!"
4 So Esther answered, "If it pleases the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him."
5 Then the king said, "Bring Haman quickly, that he may do as Esther has said." So the king and Haman went to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
6 At the banquet of wine the king said to Esther, "What is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your request, up to half the kingdom? It shall be done!"
7 Then Esther answered and said, "My petition and request is this:
8 "If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, then let the king and Haman come to the banquet which I will prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do as the king has said."
9 So *Haman went out that day joyful and with a glad heart*; but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, and that he did not stand or tremble before him, he was filled with indignation against Mordecai.
10 Nevertheless Haman restrained himself and went home, and he sent and called for his friends and his wife Zeresh.
11 Then Haman told them of his great riches, the multitude of his children, everything in which the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the officials and servants of the king.
12 Moreover Haman said, "Besides, Queen Esther invited no one but me to come in with the king to the banquet that she prepared; and tomorrow I am again invited by her, along with the king.
13 "Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate."
14 Then his wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, "Let a gallows be made, fifty cubits high, and in the morning suggest to the king that Mordecai be hanged on it; then go merrily with the king to the banquet." And the thing pleased Haman; so he had the gallows made.

Haman thought he had it made, his plan was still in play... so proud of his devious self...
sound like anyone we know?... satan... the same devious plan today... BUT Jesus still has favor
with the Father today, just as Esther had favor with the King at this time of the scripture.

Esther had her own plans... to destroy the plans of the enemy... Jesus has His own plans...
to destroy the plans of the enemy... and HE DID IT!!! THE ENEMY... SATAN IS DEFEATED!!!
satan just has not accepted the fact yet... but He will one day... that is part of the plan!!

Esther 6:1 That night the king could not sleep. So one was commanded to bring the book of the records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
2 And it was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs, the doorkeepers who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.
3 Then the king said, "What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?" And the king's servants who attended him said, "Nothing has been done for him."
4 So the king said, "Who is in the court?" Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the king's palace to suggest that the king hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
5 The king's servants said to him, "Haman is there, standing in the court." And the king said, "Let him come in."
6 So Haman came in, and the king asked him, "What shall be done for the man whom the king delights to honor?" Now Haman thought in his heart, "Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?" (so like satan)
7 And Haman answered the king, "For the man whom the king delights to honor,
8 "let a royal robe be brought which the king has worn, and a horse on which the king has ridden, which has a royal crest placed on its head.
9 "Then let this robe and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that he may array the man whom the king delights to honor. Then parade him on horseback through the city square, and proclaim before him: 'Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!' " (who says God don't have a sense of humor?)
10 Then the king said to Haman, "Hurry, take the robe and the horse, as you have suggested, and do so for Mordecai (ouch that hurt, didn't it Haman?) the Jew who sits within the king's gate! Leave nothing undone of all that you have spoken."
11 So Haman took the robe and the horse, arrayed Mordecai and led him on horseback through the city square, and proclaimed before him, "Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!" (Just as one day satan himself shall proclaim Jesus is Lord)
12 Afterward Mordecai went back to the king's gate. But Haman hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered.
13 When Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him, his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, "If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him but will surely fall before him."
14 While they were still talking with him, the king's eunuchs came, and hastened to bring Haman to the banquet which Esther had prepared.

I LOVE GOD'S SENSE OF HUMOR!! DON'T YOU??

He got the very idea how to honor Mordecai, the Jew, by the very enemy of the Jews himself!!!!
HA HA HA!!!
Go ahead and let it out now before you read any further... that belly laugh you're holding back, let it go!

You know what else?? God used satan's own idea to defeat him on the cross...
it was his idea to kill Jesus!!!
How funny and ironic is that? God is not boring! He has the greatest sense of humor!

Esther 7:1 So the king and Haman went to dine with Queen Esther.
2 And on the second day, at the banquet of wine, the king again said to Esther, "What is your petition, Queen Esther? It shall be granted you. And what is your request, up to half the kingdom? It shall be done!"
3 Then Queen Esther answered and said, "If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.
4 "For we have been sold, my people and I, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. Had we been sold as male and female slaves, I would have held my tongue, although the enemy could never compensate for the king's loss."
5 So King Ahasuerus answered and said to Queen Esther, "Who is he, and where is he, who would dare presume in his heart to do such a thing?"
6 And Esther said, "The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman!" So Haman was terrified before the king and queen.
7 Then the king arose in his wrath from the banquet of wine and went into the palace garden; but Haman stood before Queen Esther, pleading for his life, for he saw that evil was determined against him by the king.
8 When the king returned from the palace garden to the place of the banquet of wine, Haman had fallen across the couch where Esther was. Then the king said, "Will he also assault the queen while I am in the house?" As the word left the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.
9 Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king, "Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king's behalf, is standing at the house of Haman." Then the king said, "Hang him on it!"
10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath subsided.

WHOA!!! Haman was hanged on the gallows he had prepared for Mordicai... what irony!

Satan was defeated on the cross he had prepared for Jesus... what irony!

1. Esther pleaded the case for her people.
Jesus is still pleading the case for His people.

2. Mordecai was found blameless, was victorious.
We are found blameless today through the blood of the lamb... we are victorious!

3. The gallows meant for Mordecai is where Haman (the enemy of the Jews) was defeated.
The cross which satan meant for the defeat of Jesus brought the defeat of satan himself instead.

Esther 8:1 On that day King Ahasuerus gave Queen Esther the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told how he was related to her.
2 So the king took off his signet ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai; and Esther appointed Mordecai over the house of Haman.
3 Now Esther spoke again to the king, fell down at his feet, and implored him with tears to counteract the evil of Haman the Agagite, and the scheme which he had devised against the Jews.
4 And the king held out the golden scepter toward Esther. So Esther arose and stood before the king,
5 and said, "If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight and the thing seems right to the king and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to annihilate the Jews who are in all the king's provinces.
6 "For how can I endure to see the evil that will come to my people? Or how can I endure to see the destruction of my countrymen?"
7 Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther and Mordecai the Jew, "Indeed, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and they have hanged him on the gallows because he tried to lay his hand on the Jews.
8 "You yourselves write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's signet ring; for whatever is written in the king's name and sealed with the king's signet ring no one can revoke."

ARE YOU SHOUTING YET???!!!

The word of God is sealed with the seal of God...
and NO ONE CAN REVOKE IT!!!!!!
HALLELUJAH!!!

Esther 9:1 Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the king's command and his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them.

GOD'S PEOPLE ARE A VICTORIOUS PEOPLE!!

Esther 9:5 Thus the Jews defeated all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, with slaughter and destruction, and did what they pleased with those who hated them.

We have that two edged sword... THE WORD OF GOD!!
and with the stroke of the sword, the word of God, ALL our enemies are still defeated!!!!!!

PRAISE GOD ALL WHO HAS BREATH!!!

Dear Fisherman,

I know that Jesus called you to be a fisher of men...

Mark 1:17 Then Jesus said to them,

"Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men."
(NKJV)

I am the fish that you should be catching... I am waiting, looking, searching for

bait that looks and smells tasty enough to bite... I am having trouble finding it...

all I find so far is stinky, bait that looks good on the outside, but when I get too

close... whew.... what a stink....

either that, the stinky stuff... the bait that says you can do whatever you want as

long as you go to Church on Sunday and "look" good...

or that fake stuff, and I will tell you nothing tastes worse than a rubber worm...

that is the ones that "claim" to be living according to the word, and they will never

ADMIT they sin, but they are backbiting their Church "family" and gossiping... and even

lieing about it...YUK!!!!

I don't want either of those... I am looking, searching for the REAL THING... and I don't mean coca cola...

I am looking for those who are not perfect and don't mind saying so... but are

willing to repent ON SITE... and show me that you mean it... and talk to me about it,

and show me the love of Jesus WITHOUT the judgement.... I am looking for those who TRULY live according to His word, even though they are not perfect... I am looking for

REAL BAIT.... and I will bite...

Where is the REAL BATE???

HANGING ON TO DEAR LIFE

Hanging on to...

Sometimes we find ourselves hanging on to dear life (spiritually, and financially, if not physically), it happens to all of us... that's when I begin to ask myself, "am I hanging onto the wrong 'dear life'?" This life that we live is but a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow... that does not make it any less important, or ease the pains of life though, does it?

But I can tell you with assurity that the TRUE DEAR LIFE does ease the pain, (I didn't say erase, I said "ease"... Jesus suffered, can we expect no suffering then? Surely not) what is the true DEAR LIFE? Jesus, of coarse... Jesus IS the word...

John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

"The word" being Jesus...AND Jesus is also "the living water"...

John 4:7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
(KJV)

So Jesus is also the "living water"... He IS "dear life"... through faith in Him, we have hope... with substance... faith in Him gives our hope substance....

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. {substance: or, ground, or, confidence}
(KJV)

Without him there is no substance in our hope... it is just as the world hopes... without anything to hold on to... like "I hope it's not too hot tomorrow" we know it is "iffy"... there is a good chance it will be too hot... but we "hope" it's not... and this type of hope is full of fear and dread... and stress...

but hope in Jesus frees us... oh, I am not going to lie to you... even when we hope in Jesus... our humanity is still effected by the trickery and deciet of the enemy...

but even then we have the answer in His word... "SUBMIT to God, RESIST the devil, and he will flee from you" (that word that was translated as "flee" means to run in fear)... the enemy will RUN IN FEAR from you...

So let us hang on to the TRUE Dear Life.... Jesus!!
